A few things you
might be wondering.

No mystery. No fine-print treasure hunt. Just a few answers to help you feel at home.

Getting started

What is Nucel?

Nucel is a personal knowledge library for the posts, threads, videos, articles, and newsletters you choose to save. It uses AI summaries, topic tags, meaning-based search, and chat to help you find and use them again.

Is Nucel free?

Yes. Nucel is free during early access, with no credit card required. There are no paid pricing tiers on this site.

Where can I use it?

The web app works in modern browsers. You can add it to your home screen on iOS and Android, or try the native Android beta. There is no native iOS app yet.

Saving & finding

Which platforms work?

Nucel supports links from X, Reddit, Instagram, YouTube, Substack, Hacker News, articles, and newsletters. Extraction depends on the content available from each source.

Can I import my existing bookmarks?

Yes. Bulk archive import supports X, Reddit, and Instagram. Download the archive from the original service, then upload it through Nucel’s import settings.

Does it log in to my social accounts?

No. You share content, paste links, or upload archives you downloaded yourself. Nucel does not log in to a social account on your behalf.

Can it access private or locked content?

Nucel does not bypass access restrictions or have access to your social accounts. A private or locked link may not provide enough content to extract.

What if a post gets deleted?

The text already extracted, along with its saved summary and tags, is stored independently. External media or the original page may no longer be available.

AI & your library

What does the AI do?

It summarizes available content, adds topic tags, and helps index items by meaning. Chat uses saved content to respond to your questions with references to the source items.

Can I check an answer?

Yes. Chat responses include references to the saved content used to answer. Follow them to verify the response; AI output can be incomplete or mistaken.

What happens if AI is unavailable?

Saving and keyword search can still work. AI-dependent summaries, meaning search, and chat may be unavailable or limited.

Privacy & ownership

Can I export my library?

Yes. Full export is available, so your saved knowledge can leave with you.

Is my content sent to an AI provider?

Content used for summaries or answers is processed by the configured AI provider. See the privacy policy for details about processing and the services involved.

What happens when I delete an item?

Deleted items are retained in Trash for 30 days before permanent deletion, giving you time to recover something removed by mistake.
